Animal House Facility
The CRCM's Animal House Facility is a shared service whose essential mission is to provide animal husbandry and care services for wild or altered animals, in compliance with current regulations on animal experimentation (Directive 2010/63/EU).
The animal facility offers the center's research teams :
Qualified and competent staff, trained in good zootechnical practices and ethics, and members of the Animal Welfare Structure (link to SBEA page).
State-of-the-art premises and equipment that comply with official (French, European, international) standards and regulations.
Activities
- Animal care and monitoring
- Monitoring of the various breeding facilities producing models with defined characteristics
- Qualified technical assistance for genotyping, embryo transfer rederivation, cryopreservation and ES cell injection
- Upkeep and maintenance of facilities
- Health monitoring and organization of regular checks for the various housing and experimental areas in accordance with FELASA recommendations.
