Bio :

Since 2019, I have served as a Principal Investigator at the Cancer Research Center Marseille (CRCM) and the Institut Paoli-Calmettes (IPC) leading the small molecule immunotherapy development group. My independent research program operates at the intersection of structural biology, chemical informatics, and immunology, focusing heavily on targeting protein-protein interactions (PPIs).
A major milestone of my group is the discovery of the “WYF cryptic pocket” in SIRPalpha. This breakthrough redefines the immune checkpoint from a static receptor into a dynamic allosteric machine, creating new therapeutic avenues for structure-based drug design.

To sustain this vision, I have secured a highly competitive funding portfolio including international support via an NIH R37 MERIT Award and an NIH R01 grant, alongside national funding from the ANR and Cancéropôle SUD. This financial stability allows me to direct a multi-disciplinary team, where I supervise PhD candidates, postdocs and several research engineers. My leadership also extends to the broader scientific community through the co-development of open-access tools like the Fr-PPIChem library and the ChemoDOTS web server, which democratize drug discovery for academic labs. Furthermore, as the leader of the Industrial Partnerships Service at IPC, I actively bridge the gap between fundamental chemical biology and clinical translation.
