Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry

Since its creation in 2002, the CRCM platform has constantly developed its areas of expertise in response to the rapid growth in technologies and methodological approaches observed in the proteomics community in recent years. Today, the CRCM's Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Platform is part of Marseille , a network of proteomics platforms in the Greater Marseille area, launched in 2008 and awarded the IBiSA label, followed by the Plateforme Technologique Aix-Marseille in 2013. MaP offers public research laboratories and private companies a wide range of complementary techniques for protein identification, characterization and quantification, as well as bioinformatics services. MaP offers its expertise through partnerships (ANR, ITMO, H2020, etc.), collaborations and services. MaP is involved in proteomics projects at local, national and international levels.

The expertise of the CRCM platform covers a wide range of proteomics fields, from the description of proteomes to the relative quantification of proteins in complex mixtures. The quantitative methods developed are particularly well suited to biomarker research in oncology and immunology (clinical proteomics). The platform also has extensive experience in identifying and characterizing new protein complexes (Interactomics) using biochemical approaches combined with mass spectrometry (AP-MS). The CRCM platform is equipped with three Orbitrap mass spectrometers (Orbitrap-Astral, Q-Exactive Plus, Fusion Lumos Tribrid) coupled to nanochromatography systems. Absolute quantification by targeted proteomics (PRM) and chemoproteomics can also be performed.
