Introducing the CRCM's Mentoring Unit
The CRCM's Mentoring unit supports the professional development of staff through two major initiatives to mainly assist recruitment and career progression.
Our missions
Research Officer Competition Support Committee (CRCN)
Personalized support for post-docs wishing to apply for the permanent position contest with :
- Meetings to identify the specific needs of the candidate
- Reviewing of the writing application, with a submission recommended early December
- Training and rehearsals for the oral application.
Operation Mentoring
A networking and experience-sharing program to support students and research support staff at different stages of their careers :
- Round table: shared experiences with volunteers based on their expertise and professional careers
- Network of former doctoral students: platform currently being set up to answer questions about the post-thesis and post-doctoral opportunities.
- Thematic meetings covering different topics:
- Decision to pursue with a PhD after a Master's degree.
- Professional development for research support staff.
- Career prospects for doctoral students.
- Development after obtaining a CRCN position.
