28 January 2025On Thursday January 16, theRuban Rose association, accompanied by Yaël Braun-Pivet, President of the National Assembly, celebrated the 21ᵉ edition of the Ruban Rose Awards. Hosted by Leïla Kaddour-Boudadi, the ceremony honored outstanding researchers for their projects aimed at transforming breast cancer prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
Among the winners, Dr Christophe Ginestier, Inserm research director and team leader in Marseilles, has been awarded a €200,000 Pink Ribbon grant. he was singled out for his project aimed at understanding why some breast cancers become resistant to treatment, leading to recurrence. He focuses on the evolution of tumor cells during treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy, with the aim of reconstructing tumor architecture to better understand their resistance.
The aim: to identify the weaknesses of recurrent tumors in order to develop more effective therapies and prevent recurrence.
