
MemProt team at CRCM is joining the new European consortium for Spatial and Single-Cell Proteomics
16 September 2026Missions: The successful candidate will assist postdoctoral fellows and doctoral students with research projects focusing on the tumor microenvironment in pancreatic cancer.
Main activities: Cell culture, plasmid cloning, plasmid design, confocal microscopy, protein biochemistry, Western blot, and protein purification. Literature review.
Side activities: Analysis of glycosylation patterns using a glycoproteomic approach.
Knowledge: Theoretical knowledge of cellular and molecular biology. Good knowledge of laboratory techniques for mammalian cells.
Skills: Proficiency in molecular biology software, sequence alignment tools, and AlphaFold; experimental rigor. Ability to clearly present one’s work and reasoning.
Competences: Be organized, available, enthusiastic, and reliable. Be able to communicate effectively, make suggestions, and summarize information. Enjoy working as part of a team and interacting with researchers, and be able to understand and articulate their needs. English (reading, speaking, writing).
Desired experience: Laboratory experience in molecular biology. Desired degree: 5 years of post-secondary education.
Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract. Desired start date: November 1, 2026. Compensation based on qualifications.
Host organization: The engineer will work within the Glynthera team, a leader in the study of the GALA pathway and O-glycosylation in solid tumors. The laboratory is dedicated to understanding the mechanisms by which changes in the glycosylation profiles of surface and secreted proteins promote tumor growth and survival, with a particular focus on pancreatic and liver cancers. Glynthera is part of the CRCM (UMR 1068), an international cancer research center affiliated with the CNRS, INSERM, Aix-Marseille University, and the Paoli-Calmettes Institute, located in southeastern France. The CRCM combines access to clinicians and patient samples, state-of-the-art technological platforms, and an international pool of top-tier scientists.
