6 May 2026With over 450 personnel spread across four departments, the CRCM is an international research center affiliated with Inserm, CNRS, Aix‑Marseille University and the Paoli‑Calmettes Institute (IPC). It brings together interdisciplinary teams working on oncogenesis, tumor microenvironment, immune responses to cancer and biomarker discovery. CRCM works in close collaboration with the IPC, a nonprofit cancer center with recognized expertise in personalized medicine and early-phase clinical trials. The CRCM-IPC setting provides a unique framework for cancer research, with access to patient-derived models, in vivo engineered mouse models, advanced multi-omics and experimental platforms, drug testing, imaging facilities, and proximity with clinical teams.
The selected candidate will join a dynamic cancer research environment at the newly built Fight Cancer building and establish an independent research program integrating fundamental and clinically oriented approaches. The position includes privileged access to CRCM CoreTech platforms. For applicants without a permanent position, CRCM will provide dedicated mentoring to support access to a tenure-track position (CNRS or Inserm) and competitive funding.
The candidate’s project may address any aspect of cancer research, from fundamental to translational approaches. Candidates with backgrounds in other areas of cancer research are encouraged to apply, provided they are willing to develop a program in pancreatic cancer. The call aims to strengthen pancreatic cancer research at CRCM, within the CRCM–IPC environment, which offers a unique interface between basic research and clinical applications. Particular attention will be given to the scientific quality, originality, and the ability of the project to interact with the CRCM–IPC ecosystem.
