Sunday Roast & The Artist: A charity event in support of cancer research!
6 January 2026
Breast cancer research at CRCM supported by the Ligue contre le cancer (€130,000)
14 January 2026In December, several members of the Predictive Oncology team and the MAP Proteomic platform of the Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie de Marseille (CRCM) took part in the Girls & Science Day, an event dedicated to promoting scientific careers among young girls.
This initiative aims to raise awareness among middle and high school students about careers in research and to challenge persistent gender stereotypes in scientific fields. By fostering direct exchanges with women researchers, the Girls & Science Day helps make scientific career paths more visible, concrete, and accessible.
CRCM was represented by Célia Jardin, Chloé Freyermuth, Claire Germier, Claire Acquaviva, and Maelle Picard.
Throughout the day, the researchers shared their daily work as scientists, their professional journeys, and their commitment to cancer research. These discussions highlighted the diversity of scientific careers and the importance of female representation in research.
Through its participation in the Girls & Science Day, CRCM reaffirms its commitment to promoting scientific outreach, equal opportunities, and encouraging scientific vocations from an early age.
