Max Douglas

Dr Max Douglas is a group leader at the Institute of Cancer Research (ICR) in London. He studied Molecular and Cellular Biochemistry at the University of Oxford prior to gaining a PhD from the Gurdon Institute, University of Cambridge. He joined Dr John Diffley as a postdoctoral fellow at Clare Hall Laboratories and the Francis Crick Institute, London, where his research focussed on the mechanism of eukaryotic DNA replication. At the end of 2019, Max started his own laboratory at the ICR. Research in his group centres around using a combination of reconstitution biochemistry, structural biology and genetics to examine mechanistic aspects of telomeres.
