Marseille Cancer Research Center - ICEP Experimental Histopathology Platform\"\/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marion Rubis Gaudin<\/h2>\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Assistant Engineer<\/h4>\n\n<p>Located at the interface between the Institut Paoli-Calmettes (IPC) and the Centre de Recherche en Canc\u00e9rologie de Marseille (CRCM), ICEP provides support and expertise for the histological aspects of clinical, translational and fundamental research projects on the site. ICEP also provides services for academic and industrial partners. <\/p>\n\n<p>The ICEP platform offers <strong>histotechnology services<\/strong> such as the manufacture of blocks and Microarray Tissues, sectioning of frozen and\/or formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded samples, histological staining and immunostaining, slide digitization, image analysis and anatomopathological analysis.<\/p>\n\n<p>ICEP is also dedicated to <strong>developing innovative space multiplex technologies.<\/strong> ICEP is the <strong>&#8220;cancer pilot site&#8221;<\/strong> for Miltenyi&#8217;s MACSima technology. This automated system, dedicated to proteomic multiplex technology, can measure several dozen markers simultaneously on a sample. This enables precise mapping of the tumor, immune infiltrate and microenvironment cells with single-cell resolution.  <\/p>\n\n<p><strong>Visium HD and Xenium spatial transcriptomics multiplex technologies from 10X Genomics are currently being deployed.<\/strong>  These technologies, which enable the profiling of 300 to 5000 genes at sub-cellular resolution, are a revolutionary tool for characterizing the different cell types in a tissue, signaling pathways and cell-cell interactions.<\/p>\n\n<p>This equipment is part of <strong>translational and clinical research projects (therapeutic decision support).<\/strong> They are designed to discover new therapeutic targets and biomarkers for diagnosis, and revolutionize our understanding of tumor genesis and progression, as well as the response to treatment of each cancer.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\"
